How to organize GMAT Study for 700+

Hi friends,

I am new to this forum. I have taken a gmat test, the score was lower than 500 (but my AWA score was 5.5). I heard about this forum and joined today. I hope getting valuable suggestions from u all guys. With thy suggestions, I hope to get 700+ next time.

Verbal is my weak are as are most candidates, particularly I am weak in reading comprehension.
I find myself difficult to solve accurately the long problems in sc and critical reasoning too.
In Qt, I think I can go above 45.

I have following materials:
1. Kaplan: test cd; verbal:sc,critical reasoning, reading comprehension; workshop
2. manhattan: sc guide, math (word translations; and Fraction, percent and..)
3. OG 10 and 12
4. powerscore critical reasoning bible
5. GMATPrep and powerprep softwares
6. Princeton verbal review
7. 800 score test softwares
8. 1000 reading comprehension,critical reasoning,sc
9. manhattan flashcards
10.testgrid4gmat
11.gmat notes, testmagic compilation for verbal
12.MODULE V - How to crack Reading Comprehension
13. few other test materials and downloads

Please suggest me how to organize my study plan, I mean from where to start first and where to focus. What materials should I give more priority. I have not reviewed all these materials in the previous test. That time I have only reviewed few questions from 1000 sc, reading comprehension and critical reasoning and Powerprep CD provided by mba.com

Hope to get very useful suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

gmat^3, if you have OG, then first go through it,
also see think thread by erin; http://www.urch.com/forums/gmat/994-...tudy-plan.html (GMAT Study Plan)
regarding the sufficiency of materials you have, I am also not sure.

Wow! Gmat^3, you have a lot of great materials that will help you score a 700+. In reading comprehension do you have difficulty in reading fast or just in answering the qs??? I find speed reading and answering questions immediately a problem. But there is no other cure for that except practicing reading good material like The Economist, News week, Business week, etc... For finding the correct answers, on the other hand, I think you got a good book (Module V).

For SC I'll find a good link that I will post for you.

This link is by a previous GMATer, his/her score blew my mind! http://www.urch.com/forums/just-fini...tml#post152529 (790 GMAT (q50, v51)).

This other link should help with SC but you already have a very good book (Manhattan SC, has a great rep) but here it is anyway -http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/

IMO I think you should start with the basics and then start practicing. Because then you would know how to approach the questions.

One other thing a lot of people on this forum are very helpful and if you need help just ask.

Hi gmat^3,

Wow, you have some amazing study material. Kaplan and Manhattan are really good. But, Princeton questions are a little easy.

Regards,

@Gmat^3 Try checking out this link - http://www.urch.com/forums/gmat-sent...lp-needed.html (Help needed)
I have posted those links on this link and I think others have been able to use it, dunno why it didn't work this time.
