    Screwed on the d-day

I am very disappointed with my perfrormance in the actual gmat. I sort of have verbal phobia. I cannot stand verbal;however for the past three weeks I was focusing on verbal only. I scored Q-46 and V-21 only. I need advice . I am planning to retake gmat in Novemeber. Since I was og user I avoided taking powerprep verbal test. I have always been topper at Mumbai uni and college. I realised my pattern of study was wrong. It was based more on craming stuff. aAnd because of tention of d-day I did not sleep even for a minute. I always had exam fever but not bad as I witnessed for gmat. I puked like hell which made severe stomach cramps. And consequently my concentration for gmat was absolutely low. I wanna cross the 700 mark. My scores in the test are as follows:
    Kaplan 520 540 570
Powerpep 530 ( with using og avoided doing verbal because of the repetetive feel)
    And rea 660
    800 score 590
    princeton 620
Please guide me I plan to retake my test in November first week.

Relax Man...This is not the end of the world.

Step back and think for a minute. Nov 1st week is too early to recover from the delusion. Even If you study full time its better that you take the test again during december. Gather as many mat'l as possible and plan your study.
Work on your basic Verbal skills and take as many full tests as possible..
    this should do.

I think you can definitely do better on a retake, but I think you should be realistic that 700+ may not be attainable for you, given your practice scores. Retake and aim high, but try to relax about it. It's just a test and won't determine your future.

hmmm.. i think u should take some rest .. feel free of doing questions.. don't ignore questions face them and answer them .. and set the logic of each question in ur mind .. and if u do lots of question, it will be a routine for u and u feel that i can solve any damn question of this world...

    Hi Alien14,
Cheer up!. It's just an exam. Further, it's understanble to be streesed and nervous. But just ask yourself, how can one single GMAT score determine your course of life ?.

If you still feel stressed, trying doing one of the Artofliving courses. www.artofliving.org. It will teach you powerful meditation techniques to keep yourself at ease.

    Hope this helps.
