GMAT was 400 looking to get 700+

    Hello,

I did take GMAT(2 month preparation) in 2004 and got 400, I did not prepare for the exam good. I am planning to take GMAT again and I aiming for 700+(always aim for high). I am not really great in Verbal and that is the reason my score went down to 400. These are the books I have bought for now
The Official Guide for GMAT for Quants Review
GMAT ultimate Grammar by GMAT Club.
I am looking for some good books for Verbal. I want to improve and make my basics strong.
I have been reading great stories in this forum about people going from 400 to 700+. Reading all these posts gives me confidence to retake the test again. I would greatly appreciate any help.

    Thanks

    For verbal
    1. Manhattan GMAT SC (solve related SC s from Official Guide)
    2. CR Bible
    3. Aristotle RC 99 + Manhattan GMAT RC (first read Manhattan GMAT RC than Aristotle RC 99)

I agree with 800. I used those materials in addition to the Official Guide and Official Guide verbal supplement. I thought that was more than enough to be ready to do well on the actual GMAT.
