If you take GMAT 3 times

    Here is the senerio:

If you take GMAT 3 times, you did bad on the first time, you write good on the 2nd time, say you get 700. After all, you take the test again, strive for 750 but you scored below 700 the 3rd time. If this is the case, which score will be evaluated by the admission?

In addition, should you submit the score after you get 700 eventhough you know you will take it again?

    thanks

    D

it depends on the school. some consider the highest. some consider the latest. some consider the average.
but most of the b-schuls consider highest.

But in the test, just after the actual session starts, u need to choose the schools(max 5)if u don't select the schools, then no problem.
(if u r not confident enough, don't select any thing)
once u finish the test, u get two options: cancel the scores / view the scores
when u select 'view the scores', the scores will automatically go to the school that u had chosen.

I believe that Ursula meant you don't have to choose the schools in the beginning. I've read that some people deliberately don't choose schools in the beginning just in case they don't do well. That way, the bad score will not be sent to the schools you're applying to. But if they do score high enough, they pay the $28 or whatever to send it to whichever school they want. There are several problems with this approach, though. First, you are really starting off on the wrong foot here. You are essentially protecting yourself from failing. That's not a good attitude to have right at the beginning of the test. In fact, I was actually thinking of doing that today during my test. Then at the last second, I decide, ok, I'm going to do well on this test, so I'm going to send it to all my top choices, cuz this will save me money later. I think because I did this, I was able to push through the rest of the test, even though I felt terrible about my performance during the test. Ok, the second mistake in this approach is that if you don't do well, you'll have to take it again, and when you send your score to the schools, both scores will be sent anyway. So you might as well think positively and just assume you'll do well and choose the schools in the beginning. Not to mention the >$100 you'll save.
