If these are your corrected Raw scores, then you haveOriginally Posted by Anandha
V 26 and Q 37
and your total score is 27+33 = 60 RAW = 530
However, if the score you just gave me are your actual Verbal and Quantitative scores, then you have 560.
There is a sheet that comes with the paper exam, shows you how to get your raw score and final score.
Formula for RAW score is #correct - (# wrong/4) + 0.5
Then add up both RAW scores, for Q and V, and you get a total RAW score. Then use the chart to refer to what it means (113 is 800).
Lego2401,
I am quite upset. I was hoping a 600++.
I scored 540 & 500 on Kaplan 1 & 3. I am not able to get more than 600! Pacing, DS and SC is my biggest problem.
You are VERY good in maths. How can I improve in DS and quantitative?
Please help.
For quantitative I guess the only way is to first review all concepts and then practice, practice and practice as much as you can. That really is the best way to do it. Make sure you go through everything in the OG. and I mean every single question in PS and DS. Review the explainations and keep track of the ones you get wrong, so that you can go back to them in the future.Originally Posted by Anandha
Another good way to push up ur math scores will be to first brush up all ur concepts thoroughly. If you'e in India, you could easily procure a copy of RS Aggarwal-Quantitative Aptitude. Except for Co-ordinate Geometry, it pretty much covers most of the topics you will find on the GMAT.
I think it's a great starting point for ur quant skills.
GJJuggernaut,
I am not from India (that partially explain why my Q sucks). Is this book available online?
Thank you.
I use this document to calculate scores. See if it helps.
Hi,
Can some one pls let me know if we can use the DOC file attached in the previous post to calculate the score for the GMAT Papertests? Or is there any other method?

I don't think the formula given on paper test can be applied to the actual computer based test or to a test with only 78 questions (37 Quant and 41 Verbal). This is beacuse paper based test always has around 6/7 sections with a total of 106/108 questions and the RAW score that you get out in that 108 questions can tell you your actual score in GMAT based on the table.
However, if you have only 78 questions as you have in a CAT, you can never get a RAW score of more than 78, which as per the paper based test score conversion table, this score means an actual GMAT score of only 620. So, paper conversion table cannot be used to get actual GMAT score unless it tells you that the RAW score of 78 means 800, then you can find out.
