    Wanted tips on improving scores!!

    Hi,

(I am not sure if this is the right forum to post such Qs. )

I have my GMAT scheduled after two weeks.
Though i have been able to score consitently around 48-50 in Quants, my verbal scores lack that consistency (The scores vary from 33-41)

I have taken three prac. tests only and my score in PP when i was half way through the OG was 670 and during the past two weeks i had taken two PR tests and scored 720 and 680 resp.

I am aiming for a score between 700-750.

Any tips to get that consistency in my verbal scores would be helpful.!!

    Thanks in advance,

Your scores till now have been good
Agree with Madhu with keeping coool, also work at one question at time, don't fret about level of difficulties, silly mistakes in previous questions or sections

"my verbal scores lack that consistency "Do not look for consistency across the board. Look for consistency within the same type of exam. For example see if u are getting consistent scores in all the Kaplan tests ... dont compare your Kaplan verbal score with Powerprep Verbal score... Hope u got my point... btw I had verbal scores ranging from 25-42.. But I was not bothered as 25-30 in Kaplan is the same as 35-40 in Powerprep... Hope u got my point...

All the best for your exam !

I have also struggled with verbal. The things that I think helped me pull up my score by 5 scaled points on the verbal on the real test were for RC's and CR's - doing real LSAT RC's and CR's under timed conditions (35 min for 25 questions) and for SC's - going carefully through all SC answer explanations in OG10, taking notes. The result was 740 (98%), given that I never broke 700 on any of the 7 practice tests I took, and I even have scored in 500's on one of the practice tests.
