Hey again guys!
I have a question about the testing conditions when you took your GMAT. I have heard that the room is filled with computers and NOT everyone is taking the same test. Is this true? The reason I am asking is because I don't want to hear other people typing when I'm taking a section other than the writing section of the test. Also, are ear plugs permissible to the test center? Thanks! :-D |

Yes its true. The room is filled with computers and people are taking different tests. You will be given earplugs by the ETS people. It is kinda distracting ....so before the test ...try taking some dummy tests with not complete silence in the background..

My experience with the test center in Philadelphia was HORRIBLE. I got a severe cold three days before the test so I could not cancel -it seems like ETS expects you to predict when you will get sick in order to reimburse you - so I could hardly breathe. They did not allow me to bring tissues with me to the room, they did not even allow me to bring toilet paper from their own bathroom and said each time I needed to use it, I had to come out, sign in then go back in etc. I think this is not only unreasonable, it is completely assinine. So if you are no feeling well, don't even think about going to the test center.
