Test of Management skills or tricks or else

I find that many of the questions are tricky in OG (e.g. replacing "less" with "more"). I am not sure how this tests ability of a student to do well in business school. I think people close to 600 also grdauate. I am not sure if GMAT is trrying to pick people who are good with tricks (do we need more of those skills in midst of corporate scandals).
