Question on test: What happens when time elapses?

When you are at the end of the test and clicked your answer choice to the last question but have not confirmed it, and screen now shows that total time has now elapsed, does it count that answer (I am thinking "NOT" sonce not confirmed). Does anyone know?

What about the same question in AWA? i.e. If you have written the essay and it shows time has elapsed, did it capture what you wrote even though you did not click that you have finshed (I do not belive there is an option for confirm here)?

When I took the actual test , my essay was recorded even though I did not hit confirm. I was really worried at the time becasue I forgot to hit confirm, but as I said my essay was still recorded.

My guess is that this is the same with the other sections but I do not know for sure.
