HAllo,
I am pretty new here so please do not laugh at when I do something wrong :-). I have downloaded a lot of god stuff from downdowndown. To tell you guys the truth I think that those materials are excellent – coverin` a few thousand questions athat are accompanied with answers. Please tell me though if the stuff from downdowndown is equal to the content of Official Guide. I do not want to spend like 30$ for questions I already have. Please advise. I have been studying for GMAT for the past two months and I think I will work on it for the next 2 months Taking the test around August. U gotta be fair prepared to break those mo-fo`s from ETS !!! :-) Thanx a lot for any kind of advise Marcin el__marcin@o2.pl |

Well, my standard advice is never to stint on test prep materials. Please read this article for more info about the OG:
http://www.TestMagic.com/newsletters...2003_02.htm#04 Remember, you can always download the PowerPrep; that contains most or all of the questions in the Official Guide, too. |

Well Erin,
The link you gave me is about 10th and 9th edition, differences between those two and in adddition there are some sample questions. I asked if the stuff on downdowndown is just a copy of Official Guide and therefore if it makes any sense to purchase Official Guide having already back-uped the downdowndown.net ![]() Thanx Marcin |

Yes Marcin, you are right that I did not address your question directly.
To be honest, I haven't gone through all the material at that site (since there are so many files), but I know that most of what I have seen is not in the Official Guide. The downdowndown site collects material from various sources (lists, study notes, practice questions, etc.). Some of it could be from the Official Guide, but I seriously doubt the whole thing is on there--if a complete soft copy of the Official Guide were available anywhere, I probably would have heard about it. Again, the Official Guide costs US $30 new, a pittance in comparison with what you will be spending on b-school, etc., and is really worth it, IMO. But as I always say, it's really a personal decision. |

Dear Erin,
Thanx I think you r right. One should have the Official Guide no matter what other materials are available. If you want I can send you the zip file with all GMAT questions on downdowndown so that you can evaluate those. thanx again marcin |
