    hi all!
    need loadsa advice and tips!!!
i took my first GMAT with 28 days of prep on and scored a disgraceful 380!well i was scoring in 500's in the kaplan tests and i must say that dampened my confidence and i ended up with a 380!!complete lak of timing with random guessing towards the end was definitely one of the causes!!!!i had also gone thru the OG but i guess didnt assimilate the explanations of the misatkes i made!!
i feel i keep repeating the mistakes i made[yuci have deadlines and need to take my GMAT on the 30th and want to score a 600!!!high hopes or what?)
i took the mini parc test on the kaplan sd and am making like on an average 6 mistakes in CR and reading comp,is that a bad sign!!
i must say i am weak at math and donno if i can remediate it with the time crunch!!
if i concentrate on my verbal and partially on my math will i be able to score 600!i have decided to redo the OG from the 21st and in the meanwhile finish with the tests and practice probs form the kaplan work book and the cds.
another concern i find myself making a new misatke in the verbal esp the SC everytime does this happen to all or is it just me!!!
i believe the test is a test og ur mental condition and i need to keep my cool thsi time!
besides how many hours a day shud i ideally spend(i dont work am a home maker currently)
please all do enrich me with valuable tips and help me attain my goal of a 600!
    thanks in advance

    Hi Pooja,

Don't be disheartened. It happens to the best of us. Going through OG again is a good idea. Try to go through the questions slowly without timing yourself. At the start your main aim should be to get the questions right. Then once you are confident about your strategies and basics then start timing yourself.

It might even help if you took time off work (u said u had deadline, I am assuming they are work deadlines) a week b4 the test and just focused on the computer based practice tests.

Practice Practice Practice ... get ur hands on another CD and try those out. You have a month, so there is enough time to do heaps of practice, trust me, just pace yourself.

This site has also got some good links to such practice tests (assuming you have not already seen them).

Getting 600 is not difficult, its just go slow and steady and work on the fundamentals. You'll be fine.

Also look at the advice given by other people on this site. There is some real good advice here.

    Good Luck
    Rohit.
