Hi guys I'm new to this forum. I'll be taking the GRE in in about 20 days, so I am really cramming for it. [xx(] I am also looking at the awesome guru list(for verbal) and barron's GRE book for practice. I have noticed(or maybe it's my eyes) that on the model tests in the Barron's book, the answer for the data interpretation questions seems to be different from my answers at times. For example, there is a question that asks to find the difference in the life span of a person, and I found it to be estimately 5-6(point 1: 25, point 2 = 31-> 31-25 = 6). One of the possible answer is 6 so I answered that. To my dismay, at the end of the test, I found that the answer is 8! The 2nd data point is actually 33, not 31. I have also asked my friends to look at the question, and they thought my answer is the correct one. This has happened 2-3 times when I estimate the points and I got it wrong. So I am wondering, for people who has done the test, are the data intepretation questions on the GRE like an eye test? [bomb] Would the answer be specific enough so that IF you are looking at the right data set for the answer, you WILL get the right answer no matter how bad your eye is :

phew...! What a long first post! [|)]

dude DI questions in real test will be easy but the calculations on difficult ones will require much time. So try solving questions frm the CBT's under time constraints.

Believe me these questions eat a lot of time. though they r just 4 in numbers.

and barron's book has some misprints so watch out for them. Also I feel the size of thr text font is too small.

Yes, actually, I find DI questions to be the one I get wrong on mostly, and also on some QCs when you KNOW the answer must be D, but you know can't prove it [V], otherwise the quant is ok.

What do you mean by the CBT test? Do you mean the Powerprep? I'm keeping that till the last week before I use it up. I'm on my last model test in Barron's and I think I am going to get the GRE book by the ETS. I wonder if that would help though, since I've seen a lot of mixed criticism/praise on that book.

    What do you think?

I have no clue where else I could find sample tests (that are official).
