Looking for Patient GMAT Tutor in Singapore to Instruct 36YO Oaf

    Hi.

I just cracked open the OG book that everyone seems to swear by on TM. Fear suddenly overcomes me. I think, "maybe I should not be doing this on my own." I am not a spring chicken and I'm no engineer after all.

In fact, I have a liberal arts degree from a rinky dink university in the u.s. Somehow I put the idea in my head that I should take the GMAT.

I am absolutely committed. I plan to take the GMAT 90 days from today. I will take the diagnostic test on Saturday and go from there. I already know my weakest subject is math though, to be honest, i'm just pure flab all around at the moment. i'm going for a 650+ (pray)

Can you recommend a kind, gentle, patient and incredibly smart teacher?

    Thanks in advance.

    Zhaotis

try the GMAT Zone on raffles place, GMAT Zone - the leading Singapore GMAT course
they do one on ones and I did well with them (740) I was very good at maths already so we focused on verbal alone

I checked out the zone but I wasn't comfortable with them at all. I couldn't quite make out the accent of the instructor I met! I figured that if I can't understand him, there's no point in signing up. Eventually, I signed up with High Q HighQ Singapore. Ask for Yulia - she's the senior GMAT instructor. She's very patient and precise, making sure that I understood completely.

As an instructor at the GMAT Zone, I am disappointed in seeing this obvious attempt by Yulia (a.k.a. julesinsing doesn't even both to hide her name) from lying about the Zone

our instructors speak in crisp British / Irish / Educated Indian accents. And, Yulia / julesinsing, if you HAD attended the Zone you would not have had "an instructor" you would have had several, as we specialise in different subjects.

don't believe me, readers? read our testimonials, come to our free classes.

You could check out Veritas. I will be going for their open house on Sunday, 27th Jan. If you need details, you can drop me a PM.

Paddylatino, I find your claim to be completely baseless, especially when you are from a competing school. I had, for a fact, attended one of your free sessions and spent over 2 hours talking with an Indian instructor. I wasn't very convinced and he advised me to check out other centers, which I did. Eventually I chose High Q. Yulia from High Q helped me achieve a score of 690 and I am simply sharing my personal experience here.

Anyway, to Mchao, please check out all the schools and good luck to you!
