Tricks to prolong concentration ! Advice

Hi Guys,

Just gave another PR test this afternoon, my third test. I've prepped for a month and have another couple weeks to go. But I'm having a major problem in concentration. The Math section is fine but by the time the first reading comprehension passage has gone, my attention is next to zero, and this is when I bypassing the AWA'S !!. I'm guessing many questions cause I bovine mastication'nt get my mind to focus. Any ideas from you veterans on how to tackle this !!

Ciao,

Nikki

Nikki,

My two cents :

Obviously giving multiple prep exams in simulated conditions is the best strategy to improve the concentration.

Since I did not attempt many prep tests, I ensured that I sat for 75 mins/100 mins at one stretch when working on the gmat study packs.

And as i mentioned in my debrief, do ensure that you get a proper night's sleep prior to the actual exam day. This is one important advice that you won't find in any gmat prep books.

All the best

Hi there,

Thanks for the advice. Went back to read your debrief again. Makes a lot of sense. Must admit that I'm very surprised that you took only two practice tests. Most people take many out of sheer stress !! but I guess different things work for different people. Will try and learn as much as I can out of your debrief. Let see how it works out :O)

Ciao, Nikki
