Calling all April GMAT takers!

I am taking mine on or around April 1st, who else has their exam scheduled for the month of April?

What sections are you on and how have you been scoring?

I'm taking it on April-2.

I found after the diag test (GMATPrep-1, scored 730) that SC is my weakest area. Hence I read & completed MGMAT SC guide and it was really useful.

Right now I'm focusing on doing OG problems, two sets of 10 problems each from either two of PS DS RC CR and SC a day. By doing this I'm ensuring that I won't run out of OG before GMAT, it will last for 40 days (40*20 = 800 OG problems).

I'll also be writing one MGMAT test every sunday till Apr-2. And a GMATPrep-2 two days before the actual GMAT.

How does the plan sound?

Sounds like a good plan.

I myself am working through the MGMAT SC guide right now, which is very well written.

I did not sign up at Manhattan GMAT's website yet though, as every time I look in my SC book, I forget to take it to the computer to copy over the website to sign up and view/take their CATs....

I love math, and am pretty good at it, and because of this, it is my greatest fear on the GMAT. I do not want to rush through any of the problems...

So what is going on with the April test-takers?

Me, I'm bored of studying right now having been doing it for two months now.. My intense practice test-taking regimen starts on Mar-21 from when I'm planning to take one online test every alternate day till my test day on Apr-2..

Till now I've taken only 3 full length tests and have scored 730, 650 and 730 in these (MGMAT, GMATPrep)..

Still half the OG is left.. 1000 SC sets and Kaplan 800 is in progress..

You guys are way ahead of me. I am planning to take the exam Apr 16th. I haven't registered for the exam yet.

I haven't taken any tests also. just going through the Cracking the GMAT princeton book.

my plan is, once I am done with it, I will start working on OG.

Do I need to take the GMATPREP now? please suggest, if you have any strategies???

Yes, take the GMATPrep test-1 as a diagnostic to see what are your strengths weaknesses etc..

It will help you to make a good strategy.

I am taking exam on April 30 and I am just sitting on RC. Even though I know little bit in all areas, I have started my preparation intensively from yesterday.
Hope to post more after I completed each one of the section. Anybody else taking exam in end of april?

See this thread (Compare your Manhattan Online GMAT CAT Scores here). It has MGMAT and GMAT scores compared. MGMAT appears to have changed their scoring algorithm sometime in early 2007. So the posts before this time aren't that valid.

And my 2c: MGMAT Math is extremely difficult. But they account for this in their score. So you can get 50+ in math even after getting 8-10 questions wrong. Their verbal is fine, but some of the answers are debatable.
Overall I will say that you can add some 20-30 points to your MGMAT score to see where you actually stand.
