Targetting 720+

Hi guys,
Just a quick question. I am targetting for 720+, so whats the accuracy level I should expect in Verbal and in Quant during questions practice. As presently I am getting around 60% in SC from OG11. I believe its too low. So wanted some expert advice.

Thanks,

PS - I am working on OG11 and 1000 docs.
Any pointers to some previous posts are also welcome.

I was getting much high accuracy level in OG11....as if I was almost there, but when I did verbal section which had mixed bag of SC,CR,&RC and also with full length test, my accuracy level dropped.

my point is.....if you are looking how far/near you are from your dream score of 720....then first you have to see what is your dream score for Q & V....and then how are you doing in entire verbal section.

you may get 80 - 90 % accuracy in all(RC,SC,CR) section....and may end up low in section as a whole.

2 Ques SC and 3 for RC and then 4 for CR......such kind of diverse pattern in exam comes with somewhat different story.

I was just trying to say that even if you are able to solve SC questions with 80% accuracy.....that is great but will not ensure that you get 720 in real GMAT.

Hence, the true evaluator should be the score in mock tests like GMATPrep.
Quant score of 48 and Verbal score of 40 can give you 720.....that would mean (approx 10 questions incorrect in both sections).

Use mock tests to evaluate yourself instead of individual areas-questions in OG.

Ah makes sense. I would agree with scorpion since the score depends on the order and difficulty of the questions as well.

I also would like to know that.
I understand there is a table of values for both sections of the test and one can get the total score by combining them.

Hi Guys,

I am new to the TestMagic forums. To be honest, I bought OG11 after reading few blogs. Math section in OG11 is not that difficuilt, except the last 50 questions.

Haven't started other sections. Can anyone recommend me some good practice tests?

Thanks,
Vikas
