Exclamation Friends.. Just 4 more days for my GMAT... Please help!!

Hi guys...

I have scheduled my GMAT on the 23rd Jun.. umm just 4 more days to go...
But i am getting stressed everyday, because of my low scores in the practice tests.. please help guys...
Here is my track record with the practice tests..

1) Kaplan 1: 540 40 (Q) 25 (v)
2) Kaplan 2: 600 48 (Q) 30 (v)
3) Kaplan 1: 560 38 (Q) 28 (v)

4) Princeton Review : 710 48(Q) 39 (v)

But here are the scary monsters, they say these scores are very near to the actual:
5) GmatPrep 1 : 540 38 (Q) 28 (v)
6) GmatPrep2 : 590 44 (Q) 26 (v)
7) PowerPrep 1: 610 46 (Q) 28 (v)

In all the tests on an average i have had about
==> 9-10 wrong in verbal (3 in the first 10, 4 between the 15th to 25th and 2-3 in the last questions)
and
==> 5-6 wrong in quant (1-2 in first 10, and rest in the remaining questions)

Guys I have solved OG11, done my Manhattan SC, solved few questions from the 1000 SCs.
In OG I have been getting
15-16 correct / 20 SC
17-18 correct/ 20 RC
18 correct / 20 CR

Please let me know, where am I lacking. I am very confident when i am solving the practice questions from any book and get most of them correct, but when i test myself, i score bad... I am losing my confidence now and having sleepless nights .. please let me know what should i do to move ahead... is there something that i am missing here..
Can my gmat score be predicted on the scores i listed above??
Monday23rd jun is the day.. please reply guys.. badly need your help...

Looks like verbal score is what keeping overall score low in your case.

I myself is currently dealing with verbal and have a long way to go..........but I can answer atleast this one with confidence.....

Can my gmat score be predicted on the scores i listed above??
GMATprep score is near to real GMAT (with -20 , same, or +20 scorepoints deviation)

Hi I am new in this forum and hope all will help me.

Though new I can suggest about verbal from my own experiences.

After having a long day preparation, how many of verbal questions you can answer correctly depends only on concentration, for which you need to be confident. You have prepared and absorbed what you can from that preparation. So now, the only alternative to score high is your confident. Don't be nervous and say "I can do better in real test than I tried mock".

Minddreamer,

I think you have all prepared what you are required to prepare for and absorbed what you can. So, since verbal looks weak, you can score more if you can concentrate more. Usually, it happens to someone that you can concentrate more on the real test as it determines ur future, not in mock test. So I think you should be confident and hope greatly that you can score high. Say yourself that "I can do better in real test" and sit for the test.

Question

Hi Friends,

Its wonderful to get some support from you all... Thanks everyone
Yes... confidence and concentration is where is think i need to be work on a bit more...

Took a test yesterday again.. GmatPrep.. had some caffaine before taking the test... and made sure i dont lose focus with time..
also very important.. i made sure i dont falter in the initial 10 questions..
Scored a decent 700 (47 Q, 39 V) (about 2 wrong in 1st 10 and overall 7 wrong in quant and 11 wrong in verbal section.. including some silly mistakes) .. slept at 7:30 am.. the tension was so killing..

I think the problem i used to have was (maybe i still have).. by the time i would reach the verbal.. i would grow tired and sick.. and moreover "interesting" reading compre passages to get it worse... also very important.. earlier i would get bout 4 wrong in the 1st 10 questions..

I will be taking another PowerPrep today and I hope I keep the consistency goin..
Any more tips guys..? .. what more and how should i revise? 3 more days left.. currently i am working on my AWA..

Hi mindreader84,

I took the GMAT twice this year and I really know what you are feeling. The first step is relax. In my opinion, you should not take another Test of the GMATPrep Software or any other. I think that you prepare yourself so hard, and is better for your mind to have some rest and relaxation.

If your GMAT will be this Monday, today and tomorrow read all the topics for AWA, Issues and Arguments. This will help you to be familiar with the topics and with any "strange" word in case you are non native speaker

Then, put your books into a drawer, shut down the computer and go out with your familiy or your friends. Believe me. If you relax your mind, you would be able to concentrate in a better way on Monday.

I hope this helps you. Let us know about your GMAT experience and your great Score.
Good Luck
