Question Final Push Study Plan - Need guidance

I have been studying GMAT for the past 2 months (going very casually since I am family man working full time). I am planning to go for it early August (first week). That leave me with around a month.

I have completed Kaplan and PR. Still have to do their CAT tests on CD and online. I managed to get a couple of more books from my library. Thet were Barrons and McGraw Hill. I also have the OG 11.

The question I want to ask is should I go ahead and do the book tests in the Barron's and McGraw or not? I found the 6 tests in McGra to be easy I was hardly making any mistakes, while the Barron's (1 Diag test, 1 pre test and two full test) seem pretty tough and challenging. I have so far did the diag test and pretest. Since I donot find the scaled score (just looking at how many right and wrong answers).

I am thinking of spending this final 30 days doing most of the OG and the full length tests and such. Bu the these two books are coming in my way. So what do you guys say ditch these two and go straight to OG and Kaplan, PR and Prep Tests to get a taste of CAT style or continue with the two?

I did one online CAT on PR website and got a score of 590. How accurate PR /Kaplan's scores are as compared to REAL GMAT scores?

Thanks in Advance.

I've heard Kaplan's tests aren't accurate, so don't worry. I would buy or download some CAT's because at this point it sounds like your skills are there. Its time to focus on timing and test environment. If you buy the Manhattan CATs, they have an assesment tool that tells you what you should work on and what you are best at. Try to use that and then focus on your weak and slow areas.

But what about Princeton REview CAT tests (there are 4 online) ? My main question is the alogrith that GMAC use to get the final score or the individual scores of Quant. and Verbal is also a secret (just liek their questions) or other publishers use the same one too?

Each company will have their own scoring algorithm. I have no experience with PR, but I've read on here that the best CATs are the 2 free ones from GMAC and Manhattan GMAT. I'm about 2 weeks away from the test and am thinking I should have completed more CATs earlier in my studying. Now I am going to take the CAT's and only use the books to revisit areas where I am still getting questions wrong. Good luck.

You knw what, I am also feeling the same. I think I've done enough brushing on my old skills that now I should start doing more CATs than individual questions. The variety of question you get makes things more interesting. The only exception would be the OG. I still want to go over most of its questions.

for CAT, I am thinking of doing all 4 online PR CATs, do all the Kaplans. Have rgistered at Manhatten for the free one and lastly the 2 free GMAC Cats. I am planning to do one of the free GMAC Cat in the middle and one in the end. One of friend told me that once you pay to take the GMAT, you get 2 more CATs to try. Is it correct?
