Where to complain about Test Center?
hi,
I wish to know whether we can complain about test center and if it helps at all? Actually, during my GMAT the system given to me was hanging frequently in Issue writing session and a bit in Verbal section as well. In Issue writing it wasted about a total 3-4mins of my time and lots of lost concentration which screwed not only issue writing but spilled over to quant section as well. In verbal it wasted about a total of crucial 1 minute towards the end of the exam. I believe it was due to some network connectivity issues. One more test take was having the same problem where her system was behaving like mine at the same time. So, can we complain about it and more importantly does it helps in any way! I am yet to get my AWA marks - i took gmat 3days back. \manish |

I sympathize with you because I took the GMAT recently and an issue came up that cut a few minutes off my test time. I put in a complaint to GMAT customer service, and while they wouldn't cancel my score, they did give me a free re-test. Since my overall score wasn't too bad and I was planning to re-take the test anyway, I'm still pretty happy with their offer.
As far as score cancellation goes, my impression after talking to the customer service rep was that barring some extreme experience that completely disrupts your ability to take the test (e.g., the test center catches on fire during your test), they won't cancel your score if you've already accepted it. But if you have a legitimate complaint and you're willing to re-take the test, it's worth a shot to save on the second registration fee. |

hi annelidic, actually I am not sure if I want to take the test again. I scored 700 overall(48Q,38VA).....but screwed in maths where I was getting 49-50 in practice tests. Also due to shortage of 3-4mins & lost concentration I lost it in AWA section......i got my AWA score today its measly 4.5.
I am sure that during retest I can improve math & AWA score but for verbal I am not sure . |
