agcr1 's dreams are becoming reality.
How many classes should I take?

Hi, I will be starting graduate school next fall. I am an international student so I have no clue about the system at US schools. So, I was wondering, how many classes do people typically take at a graduate engineering program? I will not be working. I will be fully committed to do the coursework.

kline just joined TestMagic.
it varies from school to school i think.
i would suggest that you ask someone in your department who is responsible for general advising (the one who sent you orientation notice, for example), student service manager, or even your fellow student.
if you have an advisor already, of course, ask her/him!
i think most of the courses you are going to take for your first semester/quarter are pretty much fixed
