I'll be a graduate in economics in June 2007 with CGPA 2.9. Still I have a dream to get Masters degree from any US or Canadian University. Can anyone really help with good advice?

If you want to apply to graudate study, what really matter is your LAST two years' average but not the entire four years' average. Thus, if you perform well in the last two years, this will certain means a lot. Just try to apply and DO NOT give up....if you fail this year, try to retake some core courses....say if you wnat to apply for graudate study in Economic, then retake some adv. Economic courses and try to do well in it. Remeber...every program is competitive......each year there are about 400+ applicans and the University only accept about 40-45 students. So you have to try your level bes to improve your core courses...and try to get a good reference letter.
I hope this will help. MICMAC |

Major research universities set a minimum GPA requirement that all applicants have to meet. Usually, it's 3.0. Some schools drop it down to 2.8 or less. This probably won't be as much of a problem at a regional university that mostly grants MS degrees (say a Cal State campus)
