Doubt on GRE score card photocopy
Hello,
I know this doubt is silly, but has been bothering me a bit. So, decided to put it across. It's always advisable to send photocopy of GRE/TOEFL scores to the universities, even when they mention that they accept only official ETS scores. I have decided to attach photocopies with every application, no matter what's on the site. Unfortunately, the four institutions I had assigned as recipients are glaringly visible on the card. I fear this would work against me, when it comes to awarding decisions. Can't imagine a safe school seeing the name of Stanford (which is sadly my first university on both GRE and TOEFL cards!) Are any of you facing the same dilemma? Or am I making a mountain out of a molehill? Is it best to ignore the thought? Replies are much appreciated, Vikram |

Please don't send scorecard photocopies. There are reasons why we don't want you to.
1. We have TONS of applications to process everyday. If each applicant sent us just one sheet of unrequested material, it would slow down the process greatly, making it more difficult to get YOUR decision to you in a timely manner. 2. You will avoid the school preference problem. The official score sheet is what we want and we do not need to see what schools you chose. Unsolicitated materials are either placed in your application file, or more likely shredded. 3. Disregarding institution requests may reflect poorly on your image. It's best if you follow directions. |
