How early should I apply

The question that always clicks my mind before giving toefl when should I apply about 6 months prior to deadlines or about 1-2 months early can someone suggest me

Deadline of some schools is April 15 for Fall semester. But they start to review the applications from Nov or Dec, and send admissions for some of best applications in Jan....
So If you can submit your application early, DO IT!

For schools with rolling admissions, you will want to apply as soon as possible. There are a certain number of seats available per entering class meaning the longer you wait, the smaller the number of seats there will be for you to compete for.

Also, it's not typical for many students to apply during the winter months (Nov-Jan). If you are able to get your complete application in during this time, you will be at a great advantage. Your application will get a more thorough review and there will be fewer students for you to compete against.

At my school, ALL the applications are read. They are sometimes read multiple times by different people, especially when we are dealing with a small review pool.


What are you applying for in Waterloo?

Im planning to take GRE test in early July for Fall semester. From what i know the general cut off date for Fall semester is Sep. Dya think it will enuf time 4 me to meet the deadlines

For Grad schools, the Deadlines are around February-April. If you have to take the GRE, take it a year or 6 months before you apply. SO if you take your GRE this July, you can apply for Spring 2009 or Fall 2009 admissions.
And for Fin-Aid, Always apply the earliest.

I am applying for Computer Science department for a master's degree. Can you give some advice please.

I applied to PhD programs (humanities) and got accepted to a good number: my suggestion would be preparing your application well in advance...in my case, I sent all application 2 moths before the deadline...It did work!
