Hello ,
I graduated in august 2007 from Pune university with a bachelor's degree in Computer engg. I completed my B.E. with 54% aggregate(Not that good actually!). Currently I am working with an IT organisation as a trainee SAP consultant. I will be taking my GRE this october and hence preparing for the same. The practice tests I have taken so far tell me that I have pretty good chances of cracking the GRE with a score around 1350 or so. I basically want to know about the universities that i can apply to,once I am done with the GRE.(For the year 2009 , spring/ fall ) I aspire to do my MS in CS or SAP, but i doubt if i stand any chance to get into a decent university with acads as low as 54% as aforementioned. I would be highly obliged if you can help me with choosing the universities to apply to ( so that i can expect at least one of those to choose me in turn as their new entrant ), as I am damn confused about the criteria.I also would like you people to guide me on financial aid/tuition waivers, which seems pretty difficult these days due to recession. Hope to hear from you soon. thanks, unikeulgypsey |

Spring 2009:
It will be late of you take GRE in October and applying for Spring 2009. But, you have ample time to apply for Summer 2009 or Fall 2009. Summer 2009 starts in June. Fall 2009: You will need to apply before Jan end max Feb end. But majority of schools have deadline between dec to jan. GRE Preparation: It takes lots of time and effort to score more in GRE. Any score above 1100 is good enough to get admission. But try to get above 1300. GRE is not the only factor considered for admission. TOELF, Academic Percentage, SOP, LOR, Resume,.. play major role in getting admission. SO, dont worry about 54%. Scholarship: TO get admission with scholarship, you will need to score 1300+ in GRE. Academic Percentage: 54% is actually not bad. Usually Mumbai and Pune University will give less scores than Universities in South India. So, you are fine. GRE, Admission Information: Here are few links that will help you in GRE, Bank Statements and college selectionYou have 2 months and thats enough time to score more than 1300 in GRE. Good Luck. |
