Sounds like UF's statistics program, except there are more applicants.( in one of the department I applied to, there are about 100 applications for 15 to 20 spots)
The problem, as you say, is that you applied to top programs, which are even more competitive since they are more likely to offer funding to MS students. And some of these top schools like UF will not offer admission unless they have funding available, so they are extremely competitive. (In the case of UF, it seems as if their number one priority for MS admissions is getting TAs for their undergrad courses.)How difficult is it to get into MS program in mathematics and MS in statistics?
