About the address

Hi everybody,
I have another question for LORs. In the beginning of the letter, there is the lines including

the address of receiver (format: left-handed). I am not sure this kind of address, coz I find

there are two kinds of addresses (that of the college and of the university in generally).

From the college website, it includes the address of its, telling all applicants send document to there. However,it also implies that applicants should refer/adhere to the university's website. Therefore, I checked the "Admissions" there, and find another address for the Office of Admissions in generally. Thus, what should exactly the address should I put in the lines of the receiver in LORs?

Are you trying to send the LOR's separately or along with the rest of the package? If at all you need an address, I would believe it should be on the outside of the envelope, unless the school has a format.

Whatever is the situation, I would recommend you contact your school's admissions' coordinator for the best answer.

I will send it along with my packet. Say, each of LOR is put in an envelop. Then, for example,

there being three LOR will associate with three envelopes. I will then put those three into one

big packet and send.

I am asking this question coz I am not sure about the format for the LOR. The school not

describes it strictly, and I find that a letter must compose one section "From" which is the add

of Profs' and "To" which is that of the school. Because those contents are inside, the address if

being written might still be ok as long as the add outside the envelop being correct. However, I

just want to make sure about the standard laying out for LORs.

You usually do not add the address of the recipient in the LOR. The usual format is:

College Letterhead

Title (Letter of Recommendation)

Body

Recommender
Position
Address

I'm sorry I did not understand your question clearly, but,yes, Goldust is correct !
