would a non-required GRE Subject Test help strengthen Masters application ?

Hello

I have BSc in Computer Science and I was hoping to apply to one of the big universities such as MIT,Standord,UC Berkeley and CMU. However, my GPA is somewhat low (3.52/4.00). I have one published research that has been selected as one of the top 100 papers in a conference. I don't have really good recommendation letters.

I know all this wouldn't help me in getting admitted. So I was thinking if I take GRE Computer Science, would that help me strengthen my application if I get high grade (considering that I have high GPA General Test grade) ?
