Need advice on applying to schools
Hi,
I am planning to write my GMAT in the first week of October. Will there be time crunch in applying to the schools for fall 2010? What are the points I should always keep in mind to avoid any mishap? Which are the groundworks I should start from now along with my preparation? |

Since you are taking the GMAT I assume you are applying to Business school. You should be fine taking the GMAT in October as it gets graded quickly (you will actually know your score when you finish). The grades should get to the schools within 6 weeks, well before any deadlines. I would suggest that you go ahead and have some people ready to write letters of recommendation for you. You may want to get them the forms sometime in September so they have plenty of time. The other thing you should work on is our statement of purpose. This can take some time to work on, so you may want to get started now.
