AWM=3.0 Should I apply now or repeat the GRE?
I just received my AWM score and its only 3.0,I was expecting at least 4.0. Could I apply to decent universities with this score? Or Should I retake the GRE to improve score? In that case I have to wait for one year. Is there any case such that universities give admits to people with low AWM score and then offer some courses regarding it.
I have good research experience and these universities were ambi and mod for me before my AWM score. But now all these universities look like beyond the dream. 1. GRE 1380(V=580,Q=800,AWM=3.0), TOEFL=107. 2. Interest- Image Processing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning 3. 2 IEEE International Publications , 1 IET national publication and one in other national conference. 4. Junior Thesis, internship and Senior Thesis are in the fields of my interests and each resulted in publication. 5. My research is very specific and similar with research topics of vision labs in many universities like UT austin or gatech 6. Awarded Best Project award in IEEE All India Student Project Competition 09. |

Well, you need to check whether the schools where you intend to apply have an AWA cut off or not. For example, I read at University of Maryland at Colleage Park website that they expect a score of 5.0. On the other hand, I viewed some admitted profiles at Edulix with AWA 3.0.
Are you applying for MS or PhD? Last edited by Luma : 2009 September 11th at 04:04 PM. |
