PLEASE evaluate profile for MS EE fall 2010
Seniors pls help in selecting univs for applyin to MS-FALL 2010 EE(Microelectronics/Electromagnetics)
GRE = (Q-800,V-670)-1470 TOEFL-yet to take GPA-3.47/4(VIT University,India) Xth-95.2% XIIth-93.6% Research Experience : 1. First Indian(4th in the world) to achieve wireless transfer electricity...patent pending...follow up MIT's work...working on witricity over an year under Dr. D.P.Kothari(hope indian electrical eng's most humbly and respectfully would recognise)..won competition at IITB for same 2.Final year project on Witricity and mini project on Electromagnetics 3.3 international publications(1-IEEE rest AIRCC and tier3), 2 national publications-(publications less relevance to Electromagnetics) 4.8-9 papers presented national/international conferences. 5.4 weeks training at BHEL India/Areva Pvt Ltd... 6.Won many national level robotics competitions at IITB,etc. 7.Merit Scholarship holder in college for academics 8.Above avg recos,decent statement of purpose No interns in IIT or internationally... Pls evaluate my chances at tier 1 univs like 1. MIT(only univ in the world working on witricity) 2.Stanford 3.UIUC 4.UWisc-Madi 5.UMich Ann Arbor Am also applyin safe univs but pls help me choose 2-3 univs from above 5 as my dream univs... |

hello thanks for your comments, and yes i got toefl scores it 113...
added to the profile 1. i have published to other papers (1-International Journal EEE, 1- Journal of Electrical systems and tech...) 2. Have completed one more paper in Witricity(communicated) one other in electromagnetics , two ongoing research works in wtricity... 3. Working as research assistant for the past five months in related field Please evaluate my chances at univs like... 1. stanford 2. MIT (only univ researchin in Witricity) 3. UIUC 4. U Wisconsin-Madison 5.UCLA 6. Gatech 7. Umass Amherst 8. Ucolorado boulder 9.Ohio state 10. U Mich ann arbor... pls help...i think the list is very ambitious pls suggest possible safe ones... decent profile.. I think you will get admission in 4,7,8,9,10 and I am pretty sure atleast two of the five big schools you listed(1,2,3,5,6). As you have a done good work in witricity, MIT is a real possibility.
