Low GRE score.... Hopes Down.. Evaluate me..
Hi seniors
My GRE is 1370(790+580) But I got screwed in AWA. Got only 3.0 Please tell me whether it ll hurt my chances for MS CS in infosec or network security.. I really feel depressed by this score.. Do I ve to retake GRE? Please help... |

I've heard (no idea if this is true, just the talk on the forums) that the AWA doesn't matter a whole lot, especially in science/math fields. The admissions committee will probably judge your writing skill more based on your statement of purpose. If that's well-written and strong, that's going to help offset the low AWA.
