How to Ask Professors for Funding, 101

Hi,

I know there are few posts about this topic already. But the situation is pale and I need some sort of assistance to overcome consular's grilling.

I have got admit in UT Dallas and waiting for few more. Its worrying that UMASS and IASTATE are still not replying this late.

However, here is the draft that I have prepared to email professors-

Dear Dr. Jemmy,

I am XYZ, I graduated from ABC, Honduras. I got admission in Masters in Computer Engineering program at UTD.. My application ID is 12345.

I am contacting you because, I am looking for funding and I will be very happy to work with you. (gahhh, awful...how can I say it better?)

My interests are in reco...,fpga,...cad etc. and I found your work in the area of advanced computer architecture to be very interesting. particularly, your paper on "the brain of a consular" caught my attention. (//how can I make this para better?)

I have a paper on "the brain of a dummy", and currently working with Dr. *** with the aim to find fast multiplication technique on hardware. An updated resume is attached herewith for your consideration.

Sir, Is there any possibility that I could become a part of your research team and have the privilege to work with you?
