Stanford Sociology PhD admission advice pleeease.
I am currently in my last year of undergrad study in business entrepreneurship and I am very interested in the Stanford Soc PhD program.
They require a basic GRE but aren't that specific in other requirements that they look for. (Outside the normal letters of req and so forth) Can anyone tell me what they may be specifically looking for, and what scores I need to be competitive in their program, or a comparable program at another University? I am looking to apply for fall '11 admission. Thanks! |

There are not many sociology people around here, so I don't know if you will get an answer. There are a lot of economics, business and CS PhD students and wannabes plus a bunch of MBA wannabes with a few engineering, bio and poli sci people in the mix, but no sociology people. There probably is some forum online that is frequented by sociology people though being an econ/finance person, I don't know what they are.
