    Lightbulb Regarding Old recommendation Letters

    Hi earthlings,

    I have a peculiar problem.Iam planning to apply for PhD in Fall 2006.I will complete my ME(Masters in ENgineering) on June 2005.I have a professor(head of Dept) who is ready to give me a good(in fact very good) reco.But the problem is that he is gonna retire on March 2005.Then he is going abroad(UK).Now can i take a recommendation letter from him now(say October 2004) and use it for Fall 2006 admission?Please help me out.iam in a fix

    Tell him to indicate this situation in the letter. I don't think it will be a problem.
