Hello all,
I highly need your advice, and the situation is not so common...
In brief: I have master's degree in economics and experience in economic analysis in private institution. I am considering applying to another master's program (again, economics) in Europe, prob. America. The question is: how do universities treat such applicants? What are my chances?
Some details: I have BA in economics (GPA 4.8/5) and MA in economics (GPA 4.7/5.3). I have been working as a macroeconomist for 2 years, I have been pondering about my future for long... I came to a decision to study a bit more, I think it will bolster my knowledge (esp after my practice) and give new experience and opportunities. I am not a right person for PhD, I am sure. MBA is sth absolutely different and not for me as well. I am convinced that good master's program is perfect for me. But I cannot found out how do schools treat such applicants. I wrote a letter to LSE, but had no reply. Did anybody have such experience or come across a similar story?
Now, GRE. I got Q800, V590, and awful AWA 3.5. Retaking GRE is too costly and risky now as it is in revised version. I hope this AWA is not disastrous for my profile, though I am ready to diversify my choice of schools...
p.s. some of my friends think all this is a mere waste of time. Do you agree?
