International Applicants: Phone Interview?

Is anyone here an international applicant who has had phone interviews or phone calls regarding admission results? I am half way around the globe from the US, and I'm wondering if anyone in this part of the world has had to wake up at 3 or 4 AM to take phone calls/interviews?

Please share your experiences.

Oh... Did they call you out of the blue to arrange it, or did they email you first?

I think many of them are polite enough to email international applicants first. Don't worry. Even if they do call out of the blue, they calculate the times. They are definitely not that inhuman.

And tans!! You should write to them giving a convenient set of times! Not everyone is a student, some prospective graduate students are employed full-time too. I mean what if I had to go to work/school bleary-eyed and sleepy, because of an ill-timed interview. That would suck. Besides the interview would be a disaster. Of course, for some insomniacs, it doesn't matter.
