tans....i see. THanks for the info. I've been accepted to Electrical & Computer Engrr. PhD program, but no news about aid. Sure hope both of us get some sort of funding!

just now i received a mail frm purdue that they r going to offer me some aid, but doonno the amount. i m praying for u also

Congratulations tans!

...hope that it is an attractive offer. I learnt from the ECE department that financial aid decisions and amounts will be made known in the official offer letter that is on its way. I'm not sure if this is the policy for all departments.
Anyway, congrats to u again!

Hi all,

I have been using USNEWS for a while now but this is, may be, my second post on testmagic. Any way, my question to the ones who got into Purdue is about the application status online; did it change when you got an acceptance or still says "Pending Review". I haven't got any news from Purdue yet, so I was wondering if no news means a rejection, but my online status says "Pending Review"; however, I realize that these online things are not updated so often. Please let me know what does your online application status say since you are in, it must say admitted I believe. I'd appreciate the help. Thank you.

Hi evanescent.... when i received the e-mail from the ECE department, the status still showed "Pending Review". It stayed the same for the next 3 days until I received another e-mail from the Graduate School which made the official offer. At that time, i checked the status and it was changed to "Admitted by Graduate School".

Therefore, the status will only change once the graduate school makes the final offer. Hope this is helpful.

hi
i came to know abt purdue admit on 26th jan from status checking saying recommended by dept. and received mail from dept of civil engg after one or two days. after one week of that the status page showed that admitted by grad school, from then on i m receiving regular mails from grad school some greetings, some info abt purdue etc. once in 10 days. after another one week of grad school admit i received official letters from both dept and grad school which reached my home. on 24th feb i had phone interview with prof of dept and today the informal aid letter came. now i shall wait for official aid letter.

tans...wow, the civil department sure works fast

....ECE only released their first batch of admissions decision on 1st March. haha.
