PhD in Organizational Behavior or International Business

Has anyone here ever tried to apply for a PhD in organizational behavior or international business? Are these fields very competitive? Most people on this board seemed to be applying for mostly quantitively oriented degrees.

I once applied to Strategic Management and I was admitted to PhD in Business Administration with major "Strategy" and it turned up to be very heavy in Organizational Behaviour. If you think my experience will help you, let me know and I'll post more here.

If you look at my post you will see that I was one of the few in the TM community to apply for such programs.
I have no answer yet from GW and Moore-which are the International Business programs as they made decisions only late March and the mail it's probably on its way.The profs in both schools encouraged me to apply as they felt I have a "strong application"-but then again so did probably some other 100.
However, i already decided to join GaState as they have a focus on International Entrepreneurship ,I was interested in the location and I was their first choice.

The only problem with PhD programs in International Business or Strategy or OB or any other business field is that they usually accept 1, 2 or maximum 3 students in one year ( if they accept every year).So competition is really tough and other factors than a "good profile" come into question.The waiting period was a terrible experience as I received 3 rejects before my admit.

Anyway I am not exactly sure what you are interested to know but feel free to ask questions.

Gstergia:I would be interested in knowing what courses you took your first year (I know you wanted more Math and whether you found the curriculum manageable or not, and of course any other comments you have on the topic are more than welcome.

I am also apply to OB too. To be precise, the field I am interested in is Organizational Theories, more intersecting with sociology.
I got into USC (Marshall) for this coming Fall (just notified last Friday).
I also applied to UTD's International Management program and MSU's Management program, but certainly will not go since Marshall is my first choice.

I heard that Moore has made their decision one month ago and extended three offers; all those students have decided to accept their offers.
