University Suggestion

Hi All,

I am from EC background, with GRE score of 1150 (V:370, Q:780.). My acad profile is 73%, with 2papers published. I have 1year corporate experiance in Embedded Systems. I want to pursue MS in EE(specially in VLSI, Image prosessing, MEMS, Embedded Systems). Which University should I apply?
I am looking for sort of aid also, may not be full, its ok even if I dont get for the first sem, but from 2nd sem I need some aid. I am planning for Spring-2006. Please help me.

Hi!

Your profile seems good enough to be admitted at a top30/top20 dept. Could've been better but your Verbal score seems a little bit low. Since you've got work/research experience, that gives you a nice edge.

If you can retake your GRE to raise your Verbal score (something like 600), don't hesitate and do it. With good reco letters and SOP you may even get to a top10 dept!

Strong profile I agree. However I'm not sure how much weight Verbal carries for your major. Your Quant is very good though.

Your profile looks good.. ur quant score is pretty good so u'll proby pass the initial round of admissions...

i had a similar profile like u.. and got into some schools with full aid... just be sure u get at least one recco from the place u worked.. and the rest from your profs. also.. i sent my pubs with the apps.. instead of sending links so they can review it right away...

Can any one suggest me some good university? Or where I can find the list, I searched the USNews, did not get mcuh of idea. If any one has an idea of average universities in VLSI, MEMS, Image processing, Embedded Systems domain, please suggest me.
