Depends on the university, I even have a Nov 1 deadline (only for foreign applicants), so this means everything should be send by around Oct 15 or so. Make sure to check the deadlines of the universities you are applying to, deadlines can vary greatly; mine range from 1 Nov to February!

It's always good to apply at least a month before the univ deadline... for foreign applicants, I mean..

He did his MS in Mech.Engr. from UMN.He got 630 rank in IIT-JEE, did
his B.Tech. in Mech.Engr. from IIT Mumbai,hasn't found a permanent job till now(just a temp. job in a small co. in Chicago),will return in Jan next year.
His GRE score was very low,he gave GRE 3 times but score was same,he was lucky to get in UMN.Purdue rejected him.(I'm going to Purdue for BS in EE)

he is a relative of mine,not real brother.

thy GRE score is good 1440.
Again I would say(I said to attraxion) u need to know thy priorities, ie. do u want complete aid from a top30 school or u want to go to a top 10 school.
I would say u would get in MSU,TAMU,UCSB,& ASU.
if u want to go to a top 10 school add-U Mich,UIUC,G Tech,Purdue,
Cornell & USC.
u need to work on thy letter of reference's & statement of purpose's.

About my bro,he took 4 yrs. to complete his MS (just 'because he had TA of
$1,300/pm), didn't do a Bow wow wow yippee yo yippee yay!!!!11 project(I checked on website),now has got a job, but the co. is small so no extension or green card for him,will return in Jan as his VISA will expire then.My advise to all of you pls.
don't do this urself or u can also suffer like him.
