First of all, congratulations! If it's a merit-based scholarship, not a need-based scholarship, it will enhance your chances because of the prestige that comes with it!!!![]()
Hi guys!
I need your advice. I just won a scholarship. I can use it at any university I will be admitted. Do you think that this scholarship gives me an advantage to be accepted to top school. This scholarship has a name of the President of my country...
Thanks,
Aika

It depends on the program that you're applying to. Some programs insist on fully supporting you. And in that case, your scholarship will just be an extra note on your CV. Most programs, however, would LOVE the fact that they don't have to give you as much funding. I think that the greater the value of the scholarship, the greater the advantage it plays in the admission process.

Thank you for your reply and congrats! I am very happy about the scholarship. Now I do not need to ask for financial aid and worry where to get money for school.

Thank you for a reply, I appreciate!
I am applying to MPA, MPP and MEd. I hope that the fact that I got a governmental scholarship will give me an advantage in a sense that I am applying for programs relating to governmental work. But who knows..... I am dreaming only about top schools as I do not want to spend my precious scholarship for middle level school
To all:
Guys, I am afraid my GRE score will not be high, can the scholarship help me to resolve the GRE low score problem?

I take it that you haven't taken the GRE as yet.. in that case, why think that it'll be less? Argue for your limitations and sure enough they are yours...Guys, I am afraid my GRE score will not be high, can the scholarship help me to resolve the GRE low score problem?
