    SOP for MS

    Hi,

My major is CS. If I have some research experiences in a specific field during my BS Program, but I wanna continue my studies in a different field, then does it matter to mention those experiences in my SOP?

For example most of my experience is in the field of AI, but now my BS Thesis is on Computer Networks and I wanna continue my studies in this field.

What I'm saying is that a SOP for applying for MS program is different from that of PHD, right? Is it a negative point that my research experiences are different from my desired field of study? or as a BS student they wanna see how much active and hard working I am?

    Thanx

Its ok to work in a different field from your previous research interests. In fact, about one third of the students end up doing research in areas different than they mentioned in their SOP.
On the road to higher success!
