What are my chances for an admission?

Hi Forum,
This is Ravi and below is my profile.
* GRE: 1470 (V-670, Q-800 , A 4.0 ), TOEFL : 277 (A 5.5)
* GATE(CS): AIR 28
* BE in Comp Sc. : 82% , 10+2 : 93%, 10th : 84%
* I have over 5 years of industry experience and I worked for companies like Intel and Yahoo doing some serious stuff and have one patent to my credit.
* 2 of the guys I'm getting recos from are world renowned researchers.

I have aimed a bit high and am now wondering about the chances of admissions. Following is the list of schools I'm applying to.

CMU, UWisc, UTAustin, UMass, UCSD, UCSB,
UUtah, UMN, UFL, SunySB, OSU and UIC

What are my chances of getting an admit for MS in CS?

So many views and just one reply??? Can some more not give their opinion? I would like to know at least those places I'm sure to get an admit.

I think you can expect sure admits from all but the first 5 univs. They may be bit uncertain.

Looks like you'll be as competitive as anyone. But there's no such thing as a sure admit


Edit: there is such a thing as a sure admit if you have strong links to a prof there or are recommended by someone with strong links to the school

yes, still uncertain in the first 5. For example, last year gforce was rejected from UCSD. gforce had 1500 gre and 850 agre. If you have browsed through last year's posts, u'll probably know gforce.
You have to remember that these universities attract top students from all over the world. So competition is particulary tough. But ivar has a very good chance of getting into some of them!

hmm u hv an impressive profile! I wonder why u wanna do an MS and not an MBA! DO u think thy 10th or 12th marks matter in an admit?

Now this is the strongest point in thy application which wld differentiate u from the other crowd.

Hey why not UCLA? Its not a decent CS program and great placement too. Do clarify about thy choices! I do think you gotta great change of an admit.

I was told that it is exteremely hard to get into UCLA. So, did not apply there.
