Best Research-Based Universities

I don't know if anyone has read or knows about this, but I think it's a good accompaniment to Ivo's thread on Ivy Leagues.

It shows which school is getting the most money for research and I'm sure it would be useful for you to gauge the possibility of funding.

It's actually a complete year by year study so the results should be quite feasible and accurate.

yes, it seems that they're very well funded by the government for fedral research. so i guess the chances of you securing a government based job after graduation from jhu is high!

i get in! no really, i hope you get in alright!

Good document - I've seen it before.
UNC is among only 5 public universities in top 25 for funding, which is great!

But, I think it is the same stuff with total research funding amount as with Ivy league - some specialitites are great and have a lot of money and some of them does not worth to go.
For example one school could have great Chemistry Department and Medical School, but it simultaneously - very poor engineering.
