UMich EE Financial Aid
I am an international student and have received admission for PhD in EE at UMich...but have been waiting for a financial decision to be made. I received the following email today from graduate studies:
The PhD program in Electrical Engineering has recommended you for admission for the Fall 2006 term. Our records indicate that your enrollment is dependent upon receiving financial support from the University. We are unable to approve your admission until you or the department can confirm that you have the required funding to pay tuition and expenses. We would be pleased to complete the admission process if your financial situation changes. You must complete and send the Affidavit of Financial Resources and Immigration Information for International Students and all supporting financial documentation if you use personal funds to finance your education. We must have these documents no later than May 15. You can download the form for the term you are applying at http://www.rackham.umich.edu/Admis/rackhamalt.html I have already submitted a financial statement (for internationals) with my application showing how much I'd be able to provide (obviously not the whole amount). What should my next step be? SHould I just wait and see if the department will eventually notify graduate studies about some financial aid? Should I contact some professors to see if they will help support me? Thanks in advance.... |
