You've gotten great advice. Here are a couple more things to think about:
What kind of job will you be looking for when you finish your degree? In the US or outside? Is your undergraduate degree from a US or international institution? Is there any chance you will want a position at a (US) liberal arts school? Liberal arts schools take teaching experience and teaching evaluations seriously. If you think you might want a position at one of these, you need to accumulate that sort of experience. Also, they will be more hesitant to hire someone whose undergraduate and graduate degrees are both from international schools. Good luck. |
