Hi there
First of all, congratulations on the offer with aid from Pitts! While I have no idea how good Pitts is for your major, there are some issues you might want to consider. 1. Transferring after one or two years at a PhD programme wouldn't normally allow you to transfer any credits, and you will be looking at spending at least one extra year on your PhD. 2. There are few circumstances where transferring makes sense, especially when you have taken the decision to do so BEFORE even starting at Pitts. If there are reasons for you not wanting to do your PhD at Pitts now, it would be much better if you turned down their offer and use the time wisely to improve your profile, such as retaking the GRE, working in areas relevant to your interests, like image processing. I'm sure others will offer you more advice. |
