Hi Peiann,

Im a Mech graduate with 7.53/10 CGPA and have work exp of 2 1/2 years now in a renowned software company in Aerospace manufacturing domain.
And I have a very strong statement of purpose along with good recos.

But , My only concern is that I have a low GRE & TOEFL
i.e. First attempt: 1060( 790q + 270v) Awa:3
& Second Attempt:1110 ( 760Q + 350V) .
Toefl: 220 AWA :4.5

Should I retake the GRE?
Is there any chance of getting admission in this score.
I am planning to apply for UTA , TAMU, ASU and UMichigan Ann Arbor & UTAH.

Please advice me should i consider this score for admision or should i give a try again on GRE?

i am gagandeep. i desperately need help regarding university selection process as i know almost nothing about it. my profile is:
gre score : 1120 ( verbal 390, quant 730)
academics : 70.1% (E.C.E)...last sem 77% (2004 pass out)
toefl : yet to take
inter: 75 % aggregate
10th : 67%
teaching experience of more than 2 years ( engineering polytechnic)
5 months VLSI post graduate course
i am interested in M.S. in VLSI or Embedded systems.
also i want to know whether i can get admission in EMBRY RIDDLE Aeronautical university or not.
also i want to know whether the gre score is ok or should i take gre again.
your reply is much valued and most awaited. please find time out of your busy schedule and provide help which is much needed to me.

I took GRE and my V 510 , Q 710 AWA-Yet waiting for official report. TOEFL - Yet to take.

I want to apply for M.S. in Communication Engineering in the top 10 universities. I have 4 years of experience in an Indian software firm. Is my GRE score OK to apply for top 10 universities or should i retake GRE? Eagerly waiting for your reply.

hi, peiann. it's v kind of you to offer such help. i am not an engineer but i guess this question is common to all of us: statement of purpose (statement of purpose). what was your statement of purpose style? how long was it? do u have any good reference books on writing statement of purpose?

Hey peiann, It's just recently decided that i wd be goin in for MS and the various deadlines hangin on ma neck.. I'll just give u my profile.. Do i stand a chance in the top 20.. Do u think i should hire a counsellor who can give me all the details..
SSC:82%(ICSE)
HSC:83.4%(ISC)
Grad: 66%(highest bein around 75). COMPUTER ENGINEERING
GRE: 1320
Toefl: 108
Projects: Intranet Mailing System 2. Analysis of sales database using B.O.
decent extra curriculars. No work Ex.
Can manage good letter of reference's.. Haven't prepared the statement of purpose yet.. Also note I'm frm INDIA.. Do u think it'd be better if I go for M.E than M.S. because i dont wanna go for PhD and just get into a job right away..
