Question MA econ -> Math; how to do it?

I will be graduating with a BA in econ & math and a MA in econ in 2008, and I am thinking of going on for a math degree afterwards. Here is my conundrum:

I have been looking into MFE/MS Fin Math programs because those give me a great path into the private sector after a year. But I'm also considering going on for a PhD (applied or fin math), for which these are not the best. So a traditional MS Applied Math or such might be better. But I'm not sure about the job prospects if I do the traditional MS & don't go for the PhD.

Any input would be welcome on this little ?. I'm sorry if the situation looks somewhat jumbled or confused - it's an accurate reflection of the author's state of mind. Thanks.
