Hey! I'm kinda new here but PLEASE help me out. Here are my stats:
ACADEMIC GPA: Approx. 3.8 weighted SAT: 610/610; 590 M/700 V SAT II's: To be taken AP's: 2,3 (horrible, I know) RANK: 38/399 CLASSES: All of my classes were Honors/AP except for a few electives and some math courses. EC's (Includes this upcoming year) +First chair Viola Honors Orchestra (4 years) +First chair Viola Chamber Orchestra (3 years) +Avid member of Academic league since (3 years) +Religious Club at School -Freshman: Publicist -Sophomore: Secretary -Junior: Vice President -Senior: Vice President +Key Club Member (2 years) +Environmental Club Member (1 year) +Mock Trial (1 year - got shut down after that) +National Honor Society Member +Assistant Teacher at Sunday School (3 years) -(for Community Service) +Teacher at Sunday School (1 year) -(for Community Service) +Essay competition winner (3rd place) +Estimated Community Service hours: 100 Hours +Worked for a company (distributor) of household furnishings (2 years) -Customer Service +Tutor at an SAT/SAT II Company (this year) -First, I did Community Service there -Then, I got hired by the owner Some colleges on my list: 1) TCNJ 2) Rutgers 3) Carnegie Mellon (A reach for me) 4) NYU 5) NJIT 6) Penn State 7) Lehigh 8) UPENN 9) College of William and Mary 10) John’s Hopkins 11) Colgate University 12) Drew University 13) American University 14) Georgetown University Here is my college list breakdown: SAFETY: Rutgers NJIT GOOD MATCH: Penn State Rutgers TCNJ Drew American Bucknell (don’t really wanna go there, though) REACH: Lehigh UPENN College of William and Mary Colgate John’s Hopkins NYU Georgetown Swarthmore Vassar Is my list accurate? Because I don’t wanna get screwed over if my list is wrong. Do you guys have any other suggestions on where should apply? I know that you guys see tons of these kind of posts, but I would really appreciate it if you took a couple minutes to tell me my chances. Thanks in advance. |

Listen kid none of us on this forum can tell you for sure where you can get admission cause remember that we are students just like you. Your list of extra curri. activities is impressive and so is your GPA so I guess they should make up for your SAT score. Don't worry about AP's, I guess they only come into play when you are looking to pick up credits in your freshman year. You can always take placement tests at the college once you are admitted.
